A Mother's LoVe

Is intensely loud, long and strong because it comes from the depths of her heart and never departs. Why? For a Mother not only gives birth, cooks most of the meals and nourishes her son or daughter even after they leave the house ...

She also shares motherly advice that will benefit her children for the rest of their life's ... You can take what she says to the bank and by the end of the week, your interest rate will have doubled because its accurate, profound and hits the spot without leaving a mark ... This how a mother's family acknowledges her ...

Proverbs 31:28 ~ Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her.

Education, Then and NOW ...

My GEM and I tend to chat about how much the teens of the 50's and 60's had a greater desire to further their education. They'd stay home in order to do some serious studying; because failing a test wasn't an option. Now their weekends weren't wasted by going to unsupervised parties that evolved into drinking, drugs and engaging in sexual activities with guys or girls they just met ...

Obviously, times have changed for the worst because statics show that the dropout rate among high school students is at its peak right now. Fathers and mothers now a days are constantly tutoring more, yelling less and trying to advise their kids/teens to stop living for the moment and look to the future ...

Dads and kids, ponder this when you have a minute. God has made the Moms to be the cheerleaders of the family. Thus, let's work together like a team and  together you'll obtain the Victory ... This is why I offer this piece of advice ...

Titus 2:4 ~ That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

Don't Give UP!

We've heard it on the news, at the corner store and from our neighbors next door. What are we talking about? It's the way some teens tend to experiment with drugs, alcohol, skipping school, disobeying their parents rules and being precocious with every Tom, Harry or Annie that says hi.  It's as if they don't think about the risk they're taking ...

Nonetheless we suggest that you stop shaking your head from side to side because the Lord can transform that mess into a story for His Glory. All you have to do is jump into a serious to the bone Prayer mode .... You know something like this ...

1 John 5:14 ~ And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.

Caught Off Guard,

Yesterday, Josue'(our second oldest son) caught me off guard with something he said and it nested in my mind for hours. His exact words were the following ... In order for a person to recognize the true meaning of the word Victory they must first experience defeat a few times in their life's ...

WOW ... That comment was so deep and profound in my opinion and I'll tell you why. You see Josue' is the type of individual that bear hugs the 3's ... He's serious, silent and smart ... Now when he opens his mouth it's because what he's about to pronounces comes from ABOVE. That's why the Lord told me to give him the nickname of Mr. Blessed ...

With this I'm going to conclude, in my book mistakes are defined as stepping stones to a better tomorrow ... That being said, think about this before you go to school, work or bed ...

Proverbs 24:16 ~ For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.

Me TIME

Mothers, I just wanted to let all of you know that it isn't a CRIME to enjoy some Me TIME. In my case, this is where after a long and busy day I go to my favorite place, kick off my shoes, elevate my feet and grab a hold of my 2 thoughtful friends. This lovely couple named Mrs. Pen & Mr. Pad; so that they can accompany me on a writing journey ...

Maybe your thing isn't writing, reading or knitting; nonetheless there's something that relaxes you. Now, I don't have a clue what moves you; but I know you do. Whatever lowers your blood pressure, makes you smile when no else is around or regenerates your strengthens ... Do it and show your spouse, kids and in-laws too that your life is embracing the 3 H's: happier, healthier and always able to say Hallelujah in Jesus name. One final thought, the word of the Lord states this

Proverbs 16:3 ~ Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.

2 People = 1 GoaL

Parents work 24/7, no time off and have a saying that's drilled into their hearts ... It goes like this ... No matter what our kids do we'll Pray for them, penalize them for their  wrongdoings and without a doubt never give up on them; because that's what Jesus Christ did  with us ... Deep right and also true too. Moving right along,  when it comes to taking family vacations the calculations are made with love and a few years in advance, this way when the kids go off  to college they'll take those touching  memories with them so they can share with their new friends ...

As parents of 4 amusing sons we'd like to conclude with this ... Now obstacles may come and go but a parent's love during all of those moments only grows because the LORD has deposited into our hearts a bank vault full of love ... From the first day we find out  that we're pregnant, until the day they get married to their true love and everything in between we live by this golden rule ...

Proverbs 22:6  ~ Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Kitchen Patrol

Washing the dishes, cleaning up the mess that everyone else in the family left, while at the same time preparing the meals, setting the table and awaiting the return of  their spouse with a smile on their face and a kiss on their lips  ... These are the events that occur on a daily bases in most homes ...

Children ranging from all ages, yelling all over the place and teenagers voicing their opinions because they desire a new cell phone too ... While Mommy is mentally figuring out what bills to pay first and Daddy's clear across town, working long hours, receiving little pay and struggling to meet his family's needs ... This is what keeps Daddy's  heart beating  ...

All in all, the house is still isn't clean; but most Mommy's don't have enough time to read a few papers from their favorite book or even take a nap; because time isn't on their side ... Moms, when you have some free time please read this and you'll why your time was, is and will ALWAYS be appreciated ...

Proverbs 31:28 ~ Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also and he praises her:

Timing is Everything!

Did you know that timing is everything when you have babies, toddlers and especially adolescences that are approaching the path of adulthood? For their mindset changes from left to right, simple to complex and when you least expect it, what you say can make them upset, cry or even roll their eyes ..

All we know is this, Jesus Christ continues to teach us how to grow, laugh and Praise his Holy name during this journey we call Parenthood ... Every time we look into our 4 Diamond sons eyes, this is what the Lord has instilled in us ...

Colossians 3:14 ~ And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

ALmost IdenticaL

Flash Back, I just mentally and emotionally returned from my Mother's kitchen ... Everything was in its place, the sweet aroma overwhelmed the house and I couldn't stop sneaking little bites in my mouth of everything  in site ... My Mommy kept a tight ship, on account of she was BLESSED with the gift of preparing 7 meals at the same time and ALL her courses received the stamp of approval from  everyone that sat at our dinner table ...

I've always aspired to be half the chief my Woman of GOD(that's what I used to call my Mom) was; nonetheless; I knew nothing about flooding my future Hubby's tummy with home cook Spanish food. Obviously I can't leave you without an  update; because the LOVE of my life(my GEM) promised my Mom before she left to be with the LORD that he would teach me how to cook ... Today I can finally say this ... I've baked the best homemade cinnamon bread for my GEM and 4 Diamond sons ... Hooray, Their still talking about it and YES my Honey Bun of a Husband taught me the art of: grilling, roasting, simmering, sizzling and steaming up our kitchen ... HaHaHa

Thank you LORD because my Dominican Danish sure practices this 100% ...

Colossians 3:19 ~ Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.

Parenthood ... GOD's Gift

For some, parenthood is an unwelcoming chore; however in our opinion its a gift that comes from above and keeps on giving for the rest of the individuals(parent's) life ... It usually goes like this, GOD allows a man and a woman to fall in love, court each other, get married and come together in order bring forth what we call their Tokens of LOVE(babies) ...

On the flip side, in most cases children are conceived before their parents really know each other, dated for a while or their the product of a one night stand. Nonetheless we're honored to say that a lot of Moms and Dads that we know have turned their life's around and make their offspring's proud of them ... Here's the key to raising happy babies ...

Ephesians 6:4 ~ Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Our Future Leaders ...

These are the young men and women that go to school, rest at night and try to leave a positive mark on society's hearts. By cutting down on childish pranks, seeking constructive advice from people that love the LORD and have their best interest in mind. Nonetheless, there's something that's enabling them to march to the sound of a progressive beat.

Here are a few suggestions for the parents and teens so that they can mend their troublesome relationships. Instead of reminding each other about your foolish mistakes, why not try this approach?
  1. Lift up a heartfelt and Old School PRAYERS for each other?
  2. Then pick a mutual place, where all of you feel at ease, sit down and have relaxed chat. Addressing one and other in a respectful tone.
  3. Try to focus on the topics at hand, don't provoke or trigger any negative reactions in each other.
  4. Finally, think about this ...
Philippians 2:14 ~ Do all things without grumbling or disputing,
